Task 1

1. Share your experiences and knowledge about bubbles

2. Understand the science of bubbles

3. Prepare bubble-making liquid and try out a range of bubble-making challenges

4. Be able to speak about the above.

Task 2:

Prepare bubble-making liquid following a tried-and-true recipe

Equipment: 

• a set of scales 

• 250ml beaker

• a calibrated syringe

• a stirring rod

Ingredients: 

• table sugar

• glycerol

• kitchen detergent

• Water

Method (what to do): 

• Fill the 250 ml beaker half full, that is, measure 125 mls water.

• Weigh 5 grams of sugar, stir into the water until the sugar is dissolved.

• Measure 3 mls of glycerol - add to the water solution.

• Measure 10 mls detergent - add to the water solution. 

• Stir the contents in the beaker so all ingredients are thoroughly mixed through.

Outcome:

It was hard  i had to blow light on the wand to make a good bubble.

     

Topic 5 (Flower Power)

 Topic 5

Task 1.

Your Learning Goal and Outcome

1. Know the parts of the flower and what functions(what they do and why)of each part

2. Be able to dissect a flower,arrange its parts and collate on an information sheet.

3. Complete a scientific diagram of a flower.

4. Be able to speak above the above

• Your thoughts about the flower 

• What you have noticed about flowers 

• What you know 

• Draw a cross sections of a flower

Task 2:

Aim:

To carefully dissect a Hibiscus flower and bud to identify collate the flower and bud parts.

Method:

First We took 2 pedals of the flower, got a knife and did a straight cut down the middle.Then seed the inner part of the flower.

Topic 4(STEM 2021 TECH)

 Topic 4:

Task 1:

Float: Light,Fly,on the surface of water.

Sink: Heavy, goes down,

Semi Float: Float and sink at same time.

What makes something float or sink?

Buoyancy: Float/sink.

Buoyant:Floats

Positively Buoyant.

Density:

The amount of Mass something has,relative to its volume.

Archimedes Principle:

Basketball has air so it can float.

Rolling ball has Mass so it will sink.

 So at our first day of tech we learnt many new facts about science, like for I learnt the's 5 new science words.

After I found out how a plane flys here is how a plane can fly

How do Planes Fly?

The plane is 500 tones 

Thrust (Geeps the plane moving forward)

Lift (Geeps the plane up)

Drag (is the force that slows the plane down)

When all of these steps are down that is how a plane flys.

My Hero:Muhammad Ali

 

Personal Life:

Cassius also known as Muhammad Ail was and still is one of the Greatest Professional HeavyWeight Boxer of all time. Cassius Started his boxing career when he was 12 years old as an amature fighter he fought 105 and won 100 of them. He also Attended Central High School in Louisville.

Role Model

Muhammad Ail is of many, many things like one of the greatest boxer of all timeand his best things I like about him is Social Message Of black pride and he's really nice quotes for twhe whole world,He once said

float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

Don't count the days, make the days count.

The New Playground

So on Wednesday we could finally play on the playground and a lot of the students love the playground,the most popular items that the kids play on is the flying fox the big swing,and the normal swing since the day we could play on the park everyone has fun playing with each other
