This 1st week of Term 3 was fun Monday it was just a normal day Tuesday we were introduce to our new relief Teacher Mrs Allan,Room 1 is So Welcome to have Mrs Allan,in our class,Wednesday,went Tech for the first week of Term 3,played Basketball with Friends,had fun.Then on Thursday We did Ki-O-Rahi Played on the playground and had fun,Now Today we Had assembly and going to have a wonderful weekend and Day.

Method


  1. First of all, Using the marker, label each item you will be testing.

  2. Measure about 4 or 5 drops of each item into the well plate and mark it for that item.

  3. Take 10 different strips of litmus paper, so that you can test at least nine substances.

  4. Take one small piece of red and blue litmus paper. Dip it into one of the substances to be tested. 


  1. Repeat it with all other household substances.


  1. Record all observations in a suitable table. Then dispose of the pieces of litmus paper in the waste bin.


  1. Don’t forget to use a new test strip for each item. Discard the used strips.

Topic 7(Osmosis and Transpiration)

Task 1.

Photosynthesis=food

Phloem is a special type of cell that helps to distribute food/sugar to different parts of the plant.

Stomata are tiny pores on leaves help 

To absorb Co2.

Celery and Food Colour Experiment.


See water movement from roots to the leaves the leaves through.Xylem

 

Supplies for Experiment:

Celery

Pika (cup)

Plastic Bag 

Food colouring.


Method.

Filled a Conical Flask to 200 mls of water,then you add food colouring of your choice.Then you get Celery and cut the bottom of the celery with scissors.Then you but It in the water and ster.Next step you but a Plastic bag over it and tie it.

After 40minutes we cut it open to see the result.
